Robert Brasington
After excelling in performance tennis, Robert attended Durham University Business School, where he first recognised the strong connection between the mindset of an elite athlete and a successful entrepreneur. During his postgraduate studies, Robert worked on Sir Richard Branson's Necker and Moskito Private Caribbean Islands, providing him the opportunity to coach and interact with some of the world’s most successful individuals. This experience deepened his understanding of company culture, gratitude, and goal setting, broadening his outlook on business and personal ambitions.
With a newfound understanding that passion, focus, and dedication can achieve anything, Robert turned his attention to ethical industry advancement. He identified significant opportunities for improvement in the corporatisation of the dental industry and founded Rosemont Dental Group (RDG), where he now serves as Executive Director. RDG's mission is to redefine the dental corporate sector by championing a pro-technician corporate strategy that fosters collaboration with its partnered dental laboratories.
Since RDG’s inception, Robert has originated and negotiated exclusive agreements worth over £32 million. He has fundraised both debt and equity capital from various sources, including angel investors, private equity and credit funds, commercial banks, and healthcare-focused venture capital funds. His fundraising efforts led to securing a six-figure seed equity investment for RDG. Additionally, he built RDG's leadership team, which includes a Board of Directors with a collective 130 years of experience and over £15 billion in transactions. At just 24, Robert acquired his first business.
In addition to building one of the UK’s largest Dental Laboratory Groups, Robert founded Moskito Ventures (MV), an investment office (IO) with an integrated investment banking consulting division. MV IO is focused on acquiring and advancing profitable independent businesses across various sectors. The consulting arm specialises in supporting business growth through mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), as well as debt and equity fundraising within private markets.
Committed to sharing his knowledge, Robert frequently engages with students at his former school, Gateshead College, as a guest speaker. He brings adaptability and intuition across sectors such as mergers & acquisitions, private equity, deal origination, fundraising, and post-acquisition growth.
